The Head Office in Luton had a requirement for new personal storage lockers in their office areas to accommodate both permanent and visiting members of staff. Whilst each staff member would be allocated an individual locker, some may only require access for 1 or 2 days, so a system was required to enable them to give staff access during a set period only.
The Horizon RTC (Real Time Clock) locks system was a perfect choice as it gave them the flexibility to assign lockers as and when required. The accurate, RTC function means a locker can be set to open and lock at specific times on specific dates. This overcame the problem of lockers being out of action due to no-one knowing the code.
It is proving to be an ideal system as the management and maintenance of the lockers is now minimal and each locker, when not in use, can be easily allocated to new or visiting members of staff.
